Lower Manhattan • Vegetarian, Girls' night out
Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, get ready to have your mind blown away at this fine-dining vegetarian restaurant. The combination of flavors will amaze you. A tandoori oven, left from the previous restaurant, is used to make delicious tandoor bread. You’ll want to fill up on that with dips and spreads, but save room for all the other deliciousness. If you don’t drink alcohol, there’s plenty to choose from with their homemade sodas.
Lincoln Square • Dinner with the parents, Nightlife
I’m a regular at this neighborhood institution on the UWS. Hands down...THE place to go for Steak Frites, a perfect omelet and the lightest lemon ricotta pancakes you’ll ever taste.
Lower Manhattan • Private dining, Big groups
Whether you go for brunch, lunch, dinner or snacks, the Dutch is never going to let you down. It’s consistent, delicious and the different rooms give you a different experience. This is my go to place for meetings.
Midtown East • Salad, Burger
For years I’ve listed a cheeseburger as my Last Meal, so I had to put one of the best burgers in NYC on this list. April Bloomfield knows her meat AND her burgers. Just bite the bullet and do it.
Harlem • Jazz & blues, Nightlife
The old Cecil (merged with Minton's) Innovative with West African, Asian and African American fare to create memorable and delicious experiences. Oxtail Dumplings, creating your own dish from the Wok Bar, the fried Guinea Hen and the Feijoada are just a few reasons to go. In addition to the food, the atmosphere is like that of an old school supper club.
Lower Manhattan • Hotpot, Bbq
If you just wanna get down-and-dirty with some finger-lickin’, down home, real BBQ, this is where you go. It’s a smokehouse, so get ready to accept everything it has to offer. Go hungry!
Red Hook • American, First/early in the game dates
This is a neighborhood gem - sweet, comfortable, great atmosphere, and dishes full of flavor with a Korean twist. The homemade dumplings and kimchee rice will keep you coming back. Steak & Eggs, Bibimbop, and a delicious brunch with biscuits...Yes, please!!
